Dickey Betts was an American guitarist and composer, known as a co-founder of The Allman Brothers Band. Born on December 12, 1943, in Bradenton, Florida, Betts played a pivotal role in defining Southern rock by blending blues, country, and jazz elements. His most notable compositions include "Ramblin' Man" and "Jessica." After departing from The Allman Brothers Band in 2000, he continued his musical career with his band, Great Southern.
