Die Flippers was a German pop group founded in 1964 in the town of Knittlingen. The band was known for hits like "Die rote Sonne von Barbados" and "Sha La La I Love You". Throughout their career, they released over 40 albums and sold millions of records. Their music was characterized by melodic pop songs with elements of Schlager. The group received several awards for their contributions to the German music scene. After more than four decades on the scene, Die Flippers disbanded in 2011.
