Dinu Lipatti was a Romanian pianist and composer renowned for his exceptional technique and musical sensitivity. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire under Alfred Cortot and Paul Dukas. Lipatti specialized in interpreting works by composers such as Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and Schumann. Among his most significant recordings are "Chopin: Waltzes" and "The Last Recital: Besançon, September 1950". His career was prematurely ended by leukemia, from which he passed away in 1950.
