Dio was an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 by vocalist Ronnie James Dio after his departure from Black Sabbath. Their debut album, "Holy Diver" (1983), features notable tracks "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark". Subsequent albums include "The Last in Line" (1984) and "Sacred Heart" (1985). The band underwent several lineup changes; guitarists included Vivian Campbell and Craig Goldy. Dio collaborated with artists such as Elf and Rough Cutt. The band ceased activity in 2010 following Ronnie James Dio's death.
