Dismember is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1988 in Stockholm. They are considered pioneers of Swedish death metal, alongside bands like Entombed, Grave, and Unleashed. Their debut album, "Like an Ever Flowing Stream," was released in 1991 and is regarded as a seminal work in the genre. Other notable albums include "Indecent & Obscene" (1993) and "Massive Killing Capacity" (1995). The band disbanded in 2011 but reunited with the original lineup in 2019 and has been active since.
