DJ Mehdi, born Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, was a French DJ and producer known for blending hip-hop and electronic music. Born in 1977 in Asnières-sur-Seine, France, he began his career in hip-hop groups like Idéal J and Mafia K'1 Fry, producing albums for the group 113. In 2002, he released his first solo album, "The Story of Espion," and later joined the Ed Banger Records label, releasing "Lucky Boy" (2006) and "Lucky Boy at Night" (2007).
