Doc Pomus, born Jerome Solon Felder on June 27, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, was an American blues singer and songwriter. Despite being confined to a wheelchair due to polio, he became a significant figure in the music industry. Collaborating with Mort Shuman, he penned numerous hits for artists such as Elvis Presley ("Viva Las Vegas"), The Drifters ("Save the Last Dance for Me"), and Ray Charles ("Lonely Avenue"). Pomus was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. He passed away on March 14, 1991, in New York City. The products available from the artist Doc Pomus include vinyls.
