cd - El León de Oro
El León de Oro is a Spanish choir founded in 1997 in Asturias. It specializes in the performance of Renaissance and Baroque sacred music. In 2024, they released the album "George de la Hèle: Missa Praeter Rerum Seriem," featuring the first complete recordings of this mass. The choir is led by Marco Antonio García de Paz and collaborates with conductor Peter Phillips. Their previous recordings include "Guerrero: Magnificat, Lamentations & Canciones" from 2021. El León de Oro is known for its clean and balanced sound, akin to the English cathedral style.
