Elektro Hafiz is a pioneering musician and sonic explorer originally from Istanbul, now based in Cologne, Germany. He is known for his bold fusion of Anatolian psychedelic rock, electronic music, funk, and dub. Between 2003 and 2015, he released three albums with the band Fairuz Derin Bulut. After relocating to Germany, he began his solo career under the name Elektro Hafiz. His debut solo album, "Elektro Hafiz," was released in 2016, followed by a dub version. In 2018, he curated and contributed to the album "Saz Power," celebrating the psychedelic potential of the saz instrument. In 2019, he collaborated with Grup Ses on the album "Varyete." His music is known for hypnotic and energetic tracks that blend traditional Anatolian sounds with modern experimental styles.
