Eliane Elias is a Brazilian jazz pianist, singer, composer, and arranger. Born in São Paulo, she began playing piano at the age of seven. In 1981, she moved to New York City and joined the group Steps Ahead. Throughout her career, she has released over 20 albums, including "Made in Brazil" (2015) and "Dance of Time" (2017), both of which won Grammy Awards for Best Latin Jazz Album. Her music blends jazz with bossa nova and Brazilian rhythms. She has collaborated with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Djavan. Her album "Time and Again" was released in 2024.
