Ella Johnson was an American jazz and rhythm and blues singer, known for her collaboration with her brother, Buddy Johnson. Their 1945 recording "Since I Fell for You" became a jazz standard. Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, they recorded numerous hits for Decca Records, including "Please, Mr. Johnson" and "When My Man Comes Home". In the 1950s, they transitioned to Mercury Records, continuing to record and perform. Ella Johnson was recognized for her contributions to music, and her recordings remain a significant part of American musical history.
