Emitt Rhodes was an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his ability to record all instruments and vocals in his home studio. He began as a drummer in The Palace Guard and later led The Merry-Go-Round, which had a hit with "Live" in 1967. After the band's dissolution, he released his debut solo album "Emitt Rhodes" in 1970, reaching number 29 on the Billboard chart. This was followed by "Mirror" (1971) and "Farewell to Paradise" (1973). After a long hiatus, he returned with "Rainbow Ends" in 2016. Rhodes passed away in 2020 at the age of 70.
