Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name Nihilist. Their debut album, "Left Hand Path" (1990), and its follow-up, "Clandestine" (1991), are noted for their distinctive "buzzsaw" guitar tone. In 1993, they released "Wolverine Blues," introducing the death 'n' roll style that blends death metal with hard rock elements. Other significant albums include "To Ride, Shoot Straight and Speak the Truth" (1997) and "Serpent Saints – The Ten Amendments" (2007). In 2014, they were inducted into the Swedish Music Hall of Fame. In 2025, they announced work on new material after nearly 18 years.
