Eucharist is a Swedish melodic death metal band formed in 1989 in Veddige. Their debut album, "A Velvet Creation" (1993), is considered pivotal in the Gothenburg scene. After their second album, "Mirrorworlds" (1997), the band disbanded. In 2022, they released their third album, "I Am the Void," blending death and black metal elements. Original members included Markus Johnsson and Daniel Erlandsson, who later played in Arch Enemy. The band is known for their contribution to melodic death metal and has influenced many other bands in the genre.
