Evocation is a Swedish death metal band from Borås, formed in 1991. After releasing two demos in 1992, "The Ancient Gate" and "Promo 1992", they gained a cult status in the death metal scene. Following a breakup in 1993, the band reunited in 2005 and released five studio albums: "Tales from the Tomb" (2007), "Dead Calm Chaos" (2008), "Apocalyptic" (2010), "Illusions of Grandeur" (2012), and "The Shadow Archetype" (2017). Their music combines elements of melodic and traditional death metal. In November 2019, they announced an indefinite hiatus. The products available from the artist Evocation include CDs.
