Exhorder is an American thrash/groove metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana. Formed in 1985, they are considered pioneers of groove-oriented thrash metal. Their debut album, "Slaughter in the Vatican," was released in 1990, followed by "The Law" in 1992. After several hiatuses, the band reunited in 2017 and released "Mourn the Southern Skies" in 2019. In 2024, they released their fourth album, "Defectum Omnium." Current members include Kyle Thomas (vocals), Jason VieBrooks (bass), Sasha Horn (drums), and Pat O'Brien (guitar).
