Exuma, born Macfarlane Gregory Anthony Mackey, was a Bahamian musician renowned for his unique style that blended folk, rock, carnival, junkanoo, calypso, reggae, and African music. Born on February 18, 1942, on Cat Island in the Bahamas, he later moved to New York City, becoming part of the Greenwich Village folk scene. In 1970, he released his debut album "Exuma" under Mercury Records, followed by "Exuma II" later that same year.
