Finntroll is a Finnish metal band from Helsinki that combines elements of black metal and folk metal. The band was founded in 1997 by guitarist Teemu "Somnium" Raimoranta and vocalist Jan "Katla" Jämsen. Their lyrics are predominantly in Swedish, a language that better suits their "trollish" image. Their discography includes seven studio albums, including "Midnattens widunder" (1999), "Jaktens tid" (2001), and "Vredesvävd" (2020).
