cd - Franz K.

Franz K. is a German rock band formed in 1969 in Witten. Originally a trio consisting of Mick Hannes (guitar), Peter Josefus (bass, vocals), and Stefan Josefus (drums), they began with blues and jazz before transitioning to rock with German lyrics. Their 1972 debut album, "Sensemann," featured two tracks, each 20 minutes long. They achieved a breakthrough in 1977 with the album "Bock auf Rock." Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, they released several albums and singles. In the 1980s, their musical style shifted towards pop rock and disco schlager. Peter Josefus passed away in 1997. The band continued their activities, releasing the album "Mehr Respekt" in 2009. In 2010, they released the single "Du bist die Gute," an authorized German version of Steve Miller's hit "The Joker."
