Gabriella Lengyel was the last pupil of Hungarian violinist and pedagogue Jenő Hubay. Born in Hungary, she exhibited musical talent from an early age. At 5, she began her studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest under Nándor Zsolt. By 15, she completed her courses with distinction, earning a violin diploma. She continued her studies with Jenő Hubay and Ede Zathureczky. In 1937, she achieved international success at the Vienna Violin Competition, followed by concerts across various European countries. Throughout her career, she performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, under conductors like Ernest Ansermet and Georg Solti.
