Gaye Adegbalola is an American blues singer and guitarist, born in 1944 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was a founding member of the trio Saffire–The Uppity Blues Women, with whom she released nine albums. In 1999, she released her first solo album, "Bitter Sweet Blues," under Alligator Records. Her discography also includes "Neo-Classic Blues" (2004) and "Blues in All Flavors" (2012). Adegbalola is known for her lyrics addressing social issues and minority rights.
