Gene was a British alternative rock band formed in 1993. They released four studio albums: "Olympian" (1995), "Drawn to the Deep End" (1997), "Revelations" (1999), and "Libertine" (2001). Their music was influenced by the 1990s Britpop scene. The band achieved 10 singles in the UK Top 40 chart. In 2000, they released the live album "Rising for Sunset," recorded at the Troubadour club in Los Angeles. Gene disbanded in 2004.
