Gnar Gnar Rad is a jazz quartet from Frankfurt am Main, led by bassist and composer Moritz Koser. The group released their debut album, "Gnar Gnar Rad: Jazz Thing Next Generation Vol. 102," in March 2024 under the Double Moon Records label. Their music blends groove jazz with elements of punk and hip-hop, drawing inspiration from artists like Art Blakey, A Tribe Called Quest, and The Clash. The quartet comprises saxophonist David Sanwald, trombonist Max Strauch, and drummer Jonas Stiegler. The album features eight original compositions and a live recording of John Lewis's "Venice."
