Gov't Mule is an American Southern rock jam band formed in 1994 by guitarist Warren Haynes and bassist Allen Woody as a side project of The Allman Brothers Band. The band released their debut album "Gov't Mule" in 1995 and has since released nine additional studio albums, along with numerous EPs and live recordings. Gov't Mule has become a staple at music festivals across North America, blending elements of Southern rock, blues rock, and jam band music.
