Grand Design is a Swedish rock band known for their melodic hard rock and AOR style, paying homage to the glam and hair metal bands of the 1980s. The band was formed in 2006 by vocalist and producer Pelle Saether with the aim of reviving the bombastic sound and energetic performance style of that era. Their debut album, "Time Elevation," was released in 2009 and received acclaim for its authentic sound and catchy melodies. This was followed by "Idolizer" (2011), "Thrill of the Night" (2014), and "Viva La Paradise" (2018), solidifying their position in the scene. In 2023, they released their sixth album, "Rawk," featuring 11 tracks with unforgettable choruses and prominent guitar solos. The album was recorded at Studio Underground in Sweden between January and September 2022 and produced by Pelle Saether. The track "Carry on My Wind" features guest appearances by Erik Grawsiö from Swedish band Månegarm and Veith Offenbächer from German band Dawn of Destiny.
