Gregory Groover Jr. is an American tenor saxophonist, composer, and educator, born in New York and raised in Boston. He studied at Berklee College of Music, earning both bachelor's and master's degrees in music performance. During his studies, he was part of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the direction of Danilo Pérez. Groover has released albums "Negro Spiritual Songbook, Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2 (The Message)", featuring his arrangements of African American spirituals. In April 2024, he released "Lovabye" under the Criss Cross Jazz label. He has served as co-chair of the music department at Boston Arts Academy and currently is the Assistant Chair of the Ensemble Department at Berklee College of Music.
