Hieroglyphic Being, born Jamal Moss, is an American producer and head of Mathematics Records based in Chicago. His music draws from the EBM and house scenes of the late 1980s and early 1990s, as well as industrial, avant-jazz, and noise genres. Notable albums include "The Disco's of Imhotep" (2016) and "There Is No Acid in This House" (2022). Moss has collaborated with artists such as Marshall Allen of Sun Ra's Arkestra and Noleian Reusse in the project Africans with Mainframes.
