HIM was a Finnish gothic rock band from Helsinki, active between 1991–1993 and 1995–2017. Originally known as His Infernal Majesty, the band was founded by vocalist Ville Valo and bassist Mikko "Mige" Paananen. Notable albums include "Razorblade Romance" (2000), "Love Metal" (2003), and "Dark Light" (2005). HIM was known for its unique "love metal" style, combining elements of gothic rock and metal.
