Human Spirit is a jazz ensemble comprising Thomas Marriott (trumpet), Mark Taylor (alto saxophone), and Matt Jorgensen (drums). Their debut album, "Dialogue," was recorded during a sold-out two-night performance at the Earshot Jazz Festival in Seattle in 2011. The album features eight original compositions and was released in 2012 under the Origin Records label. Guest artists on the album include pianist Orrin Evans and bassist Essiet Essiet. The group is recognized for their contribution to the modern jazz sound emerging from Seattle.
