Immortal is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1990 by Demonaz (guitar) and Abbath (bass/vocals). Their debut album, "Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism," was released in 1992, followed by "Pure Holocaust" (1993) and "Battles in the North" (1995). After Abbath's departure in 2015, Demonaz continued as the sole member, releasing "Northern Chaos Gods" in 2018 and "War Against All" in 2023. Immortal's lyrics focus on the fictional realm of Blashyrkh, inspired by the Norwegian landscape.
