Ivan Lins is a Brazilian musician and songwriter who has been active in Brazilian popular music (MPB) and jazz for over fifty years. His first hit, "Madalena," was recorded by Elis Regina in 1970. His most famous composition, "Love Dance" ("Lembrança"), has been recorded by numerous jazz artists, including Kenny Burrell, Sarah Vaughan, and George Benson. Lins has been nominated for several Latin Grammy Awards and won the Best MPB Album award in 2009 for "Regência: Vince Mendoza."
