Jakub Smolík is a Czech singer and musician who began his musical career in 1975 with the band Travaléři. During his military service, he founded the orchestra Horizont and later studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. In 1986, he started collaborating with Lucie Bílá and the band Maximum Petra Hanniga, resulting in the hit "Až se ti jednou bude zdát". He has released over 22 albums, including "Největší hity country" and "Chci ti říct". He has collaborated with artists such as Šárka Tomanová, Jiří Zmožek, and Michal David. In 2003, he was named the "Skokan roku" (Jump of the Year) in the Český slavík poll, and in 2005, he received a gold record for the album "Chci ti říct".
