James Yorkston is a Scottish folk musician and author from the village of Kingsbarns in Fife. He began his music career in 2001 and has since released several albums, including "Moving Up Country" (2002) and "The Year of the Leopard" (2006). His music is known for its delicate melodies and introspective lyrics. Yorkston is also a member of the trio Yorkston/Thorne/Khan, which blends Scottish folk with Indian classical music.
