Jeffrey Lee Pierce was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as the founder and leader of The Gun Club. Formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, the band was among the first to blend punk rock with blues, rockabilly, and country music. Their notable albums include "Fire of Love" (1981) and "Miami" (1982). Pierce also released solo albums, including "Wildweed" (1985). He collaborated with artists such as Debbie Harry of Blondie and Nick Cave. He passed away in 1996 due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
