Jimmy Reed was an American blues singer, harmonica player, and guitarist known for his simple yet catchy style. His career began in the 1950s when he signed with Vee-Jay Records. Among his most notable songs are "Honest I Do," "Baby, What You Want Me to Do," and "Big Boss Man." Reed's style influenced many rock and blues musicians. His wife, Mary Lee "Mama" Reed, often contributed to his songwriting, and his friend Eddie Taylor played guitar on many of his recordings.
