Joanne Brackeen is an American jazz pianist and music educator. Born in 1938 in Ventura, California, she studied at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music. Throughout her career, she collaborated with artists such as Dexter Gordon, Joe Henderson, and Stan Getz. In 1975, she released her debut album "Snooze" with bassist Cecil McBee and drummer Billy Hart. Brackeen is known for her unique style and complex improvisations.
