Jon Appleton was a pioneer of electronic music in America, establishing a studio at Dartmouth College in the 1960s. Don Cherry was a renowned jazz trumpeter associated with Ornette Coleman. Their collaborative album "Human Music" from 1970 blends jazz with early electronic music, featuring four improvised tracks: "Boa", "Oba", "Abo", and "Bao". The album was recorded at Appleton's Dartmouth College studio and was reissued in 2023.
