Jónsi & Alex is an Icelandic-American artistic duo comprising Jón Þór Birgisson, known as Jónsi from the band Sigur Rós, and Alex Somers. The duo focuses on ambient music and visual art. Their debut album, "Riceboy Sleeps," was released in 2009 and features acoustic instruments, the string quartet Amiina, and the Kópavogsdætur choir. In 2019, they released "Lost & Found" as a companion to "Riceboy Sleeps." That same year, they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut with a North American tour, performing with an orchestra and choir.
