Joshua Bell is an American violinist and conductor with a career spanning nearly four decades. Born in Bloomington, Indiana, he began playing the violin at age four and studied under Josef Gingold at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Bell made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1985 with the St. Louis Symphony. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major orchestras and conductors worldwide. Notable recordings include "Romance of the Violin" and "Vivaldi: The Four Seasons." In 2023, he released the album "Butterfly Lovers" with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra under Tsung Yeh, featuring an adaptation of the "Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto" for traditional Chinese instruments.
