Juan Pablo Torres was a Cuban trombonist, bandleader, arranger, and producer known for his unique style that blended jazz-funk with traditional Afro-Cuban genres. In 1978, he released the album "Algo Nuevo" on Cuba's state-owned Areito label, featuring tracks like "Pan Caliente" and "Guajira 2001".
