His notable recordings include "Kodály: Works for Cello and Piano" and "Bach: Cello Suites". Steckel regularly performs with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, with a focus on German composers. In addition to his solo career, he is also active in chamber music and teaching.
