June McDoom is a New York-based singer-songwriter who grew up in Florida in a Jamaican household. Her music blends influences from reggae, 1960s and 70s folk, jazz, and early soul. While studying jazz performance in New York, she expanded her musical horizons and released her debut single, "The City," in 2022. This was followed by a self-titled EP, produced with Evan Wright. In 2023, she released the "With Strings" EP, featuring new arrangements of her songs and covers of tracks by Judee Sill and Nina Simone. McDoom has collaborated with artists such as Nick Hakim, Cécile McLorin Salvant, and Kate Davis.
