Junior Murvin was a Jamaican reggae singer known for his falsetto voice and the 1976 hit "Police and Thieves," produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry. The song became an anthem of London's Notting Hill Carnival and was later popularized by The Clash. Murvin released several albums, including "Police and Thieves" (1977), "Bad Man Possee" (1982), and "Muggers in the Street" (1984).
