Kaja Draksler is a Slovenian pianist and composer, born in 1987 in Kranj. She studied jazz piano at the Conservatory in Groningen and composition at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. Her music blends jazz, free improvisation, and classical music, drawing from Balkan and Slovenian folk traditions. Notable albums include "The Lives of Many Others" (2013), "Gledalec" (2017), and "Punkt.Vrt.Plastik" (2018). She has collaborated with artists such as Susana Santos Silva, Petter Eldh, and Christian Lillinger. In 2009, she received the Dutch Deloitte Jazz Award.
