Katherine Needleman is an American oboist who has served as the principal oboist of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra since 2003. In 2005, she began teaching at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, where she remained until 2020. In 2016, she made her recording debut with the album "Duos for Oboe & Piano" alongside pianist Jennifer Lim. In 2022, she became a professor of oboe at the Curtis Institute. In 2023, Needleman recorded Kevin Puts' Oboe Concerto with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Marin Alsop.
