Keith Jarrett is an American pianist and composer, renowned for his improvised solo concerts and work in jazz ensembles. He began his career with Art Blakey and later played with Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis. In 1975, he released "The Köln Concert," which became the best-selling piano recording in history. Jarrett also collaborated with bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Jack DeJohnette in a trio that recorded jazz standards. Beyond jazz, he engaged in classical music, recording works by Bach and other composers. In 2003, he received the Polar Music Prize for his contributions to both classical and contemporary music.
