In addition to his work with Uriah Heep, Hensley released solo albums such as "Proud Words on a Dusty Shelf" (1973), "Eager to Please" (1975), and "Free Spirit" (1980). He later collaborated with bands like Blackfoot and The Gods. His musical style encompassed hard rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal.
