Kim Fowley was an American music producer, songwriter, and musician known for his work with various artists and bands during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1960, he produced the hit "Alley Oop" for the Hollywood Argyles, and in 1962, he wrote "Nut Rocker" for B. Bumble and the Stingers. In the 1970s, he managed and produced the all-female rock band The Runaways, which included Joan Jett and Lita Ford. Fowley also collaborated with bands such as Kiss and Helen Reddy.
