King Creosote, born Kenny Anderson, is a Scottish independent singer-songwriter from Fife. Since 1998, he has released over 40 albums, including "I Des" in 2023. He is the founder of Fence Records and a member of The Burns Unit. In 2011, his album "Diamond Mine," created in collaboration with electronic composer Jon Hopkins, was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
