Lake of Tears is a Swedish heavy metal band formed in 1992 in Borås. Initially playing doom metal, they later expanded their sound to include elements of gothic and progressive metal. Their debut album, "Greater Art," was released in 1994, followed by "Headstones" in 1995 and "A Crimson Cosmos" in 1997. After a brief hiatus between 2000 and 2003, the band reunited and continued producing music. In 2021, they released the album "Ominous." Throughout their career, they have traversed various musical styles while maintaining their distinctive melancholic sound.
